Legal — Ownership & Rights
Your book. Your course. Your rights.
Short version: you own the output — the manuscript, the chapters, the cover concepts, the launch plans, the workbook, the speaker one-sheet, all of it. NJN Training & Consulting LLC doesn't claim a share, a license to resell, or any revenue downstream.
What you own
- Every word of every chapter you draft inside the editor, whether you wrote it yourself or generated it with an Authority Partner.
- Every export you produce — DOCX, EPUB, KDP-ready PDF — and the rights to publish, sell, license, gift, or destroy them under your name.
- Every monetization asset generated for you (course outlines, workbooks, quizzes, launch plans, email sequences, ad copy, authority assets like speaker sheets and podcast pitches).
- All metadata you choose: title, subtitle, positioning statement, KDP categories, keywords, cover concept directions.
You can publish the result on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, your own store, a third-party publisher, anywhere — without telling us and without owing us anything beyond your subscription.
What we don't claim
- We claim no ownership stake in your book or course.
- We claim no revenue share on sales, royalties, course enrollments, speaking fees, or any downstream income from work you create with the platform.
- We claim no right to republish, resell, or sublicense your work to any third party.
- We don't require attribution to NJN or to Imprint by NJN in your published work. (We'd love a kind word in the acknowledgments, but it's never required.)
What we do with the work we see
We process your inputs and the AI outputs to run the product — that's how the partners coach you. Specifically:
- We store your chapters, conversations with the Authority Partners, and exports in our database so the app keeps working when you come back.
- We send the text you write or send to a partner to our AI provider (currently Anthropic) so they can respond. We do not allow them to train on your data — see Anthropic's zero-data-retention policy for paid API customers.
- We never sell, license, or rent your manuscript, chats, or generated outputs to advertisers, marketers, or any third party.
- We use anonymized usage metadata (which agents got used, how often exports ran) to improve the product. We never use the actual content of your manuscript to train models, generate marketing materials, or showcase to other customers.
If you cancel
- You keep every file you've already exported.
- You can export the manuscript and project data on the way out via Settings → Export account data.
- We delete your project data on a schedule after cancellation, unless you ask us to keep it longer or delete it sooner.
- Cancelling does not affect ownership of work you've already produced. You owned it then; you own it now.
What we can't promise
Ownership is one thing; outcome is another. We don't guarantee:
- Bestseller status, Amazon rank, media coverage, or specific sales numbers.
- Publishing acceptance by any traditional publisher.
- Revenue projections from the monetization tools — they're ranges based on inputs, not commitments.
- Legal review of your manuscript's content. The platform may flag risk content (defamation, medical claims, financial promises), but final clearance is your call and your attorney's.
The controlling documents
This page is a plain-English summary. The full terms live in our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If anything here ever conflicts with those documents, the formal Terms of Service control. We'll update this page whenever they change so you don't have to dig through a PDF to know where you stand.
Questions?
Email support@njntrainandconsult.com. If your question is "do I own this if I cancel?" — yes. If it's "do I owe NJN anything if my book makes money?" — no. For anything more specific, write us.
