Terms of Service
Last updated July 24, 2026. By creating an account on Imprint by NJN, you agree to these terms.
Who we are
Imprint by NJN is a software product owned and operated by NJN Training & Consulting LLC ("NJN," "we," "us"). When we say "you," we mean the person who creates an account and uses the app.
What you get
Imprint by NJN gives you access to a team of AI Authority Partners, a writing editor, project organization, and (depending on your plan) authority assets and a book launch playbook. The exact features available to you depend on the plan you've picked. Plans and features can change over time; if we remove a feature your plan was paying for, we'll give you notice and offer a refund or credit.
Your account
- You must be 18 or older to use the app.
- You're responsible for keeping your password safe. Don't share your account with anyone else.
- One account per person. You can run multiple projects from one account, subject to your plan's project limit.
Who owns the output
Your manuscripts, chapters, outlines, drafts, and any other content you create with Imprint by NJN belong to you. You hold all the commercial rights — you can publish them, sell them, give them away, or build a business on top of them. For a longer plain-English version, see our Ownership & Rights page.
We retain ownership of the app itself — the software, the Authority Partner prompts, the brand. You don't get rights to those by signing up.
Payments, cancellation, and refunds
Paid plans are billed by Stripe on the cycle of the plan you pick (monthly or annual). Your card details are handled directly by Stripe and never stored on our servers — see our Privacy Policy for details.
- Cancellation. You can cancel anytime from Settings → "Manage billing." Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle — you keep access until then.
- Refunds. During the beta period, we offer a 14-day refund window from the date of your first paid charge if you're unsatisfied. After that, charges are non-refundable except where required by law.
- Failed payments. If a charge fails, we may downgrade your account to the free tier and notify you by email. Your data is retained — you can resume by updating your payment method.
AI-generated content
The Authority Partners use AI models from Anthropic to generate text. AI output can be inaccurate, outdated, or biased — you're responsible for reviewing and editing anything you publish under your name. Don't rely on AI output for legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice without consulting a qualified human.
We don't use your manuscript text to train AI models. The third-party AI providers we use are bound by their own data-use commitments (see Anthropic's terms).
Voice cloning and audiobooks
The optional Audiobook add-on can create a private synthetic copy of a voice from a recording you upload, and use it to narrate your book. By using it you agree that:
- You will only upload recordings of your own voice, or of another person from whom you have written permission to create and use a synthetic voice.
- You will not use voice cloning to impersonate anyone, to create misleading or deceptive audio, or to violate anyone's publicity or privacy rights.
- The cloned voice is private to your account and may only be used to narrate content you have the rights to. You're responsible for listening to the generated narration before you publish or sell it.
- We may remove a cloned voice and suspend the feature for accounts that violate these rules, and we'll cooperate with lawful requests relating to misuse.
How the recording itself is handled — where it's stored, and how to delete it — is covered in our Privacy Policy.
What you can't do
You agree not to:
- Use the app to generate content that's illegal, defamatory, or harmful to others.
- Try to break, abuse, or reverse-engineer the app — including poking at API endpoints to view other users' data, attempting denial-of-service, or probing for vulnerabilities without disclosing them to us first.
- Resell or sublicense the app, or build a competing product on top of it.
- Impersonate someone else or create accounts on their behalf without permission.
We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. If you find a security issue, please email us instead of exploiting it — we'll respond quickly and credit responsible disclosures.
Service availability
We aim for high uptime but don't guarantee it. We may need to take the app offline for maintenance or in response to an outage at a provider we depend on. We're not liable for downtime or for data loss caused by events outside our reasonable control.
Disclaimers and limits of liability
The app is provided "as is" — we don't guarantee it will fit your particular purpose, that AI replies will be accurate, or that publishing a book will be successful. To the maximum extent allowed by law, NJN's total liability arising out of your use of the app is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. For material changes, we'll send a notice to your account email and update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the app after that constitutes acceptance.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the state where NJN Training & Consulting LLC is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
